SRIJAN – The Order of the Real Ones
(Mischief Managed. But with purpose.)
It all started with a coffee.
And a rant.
And two sisters who felt a little too much and did a little too much overthinking at 2 a.m.
One said, “The world’s a mess.”
The other replied, “So let’s clean it up.”
And just like that—no wands, no owls—just chai and chaos—SRIJAN was born.
Two Sisters, One Cause (and a thousand sticky notes)
We weren’t born into greatness.
We didn’t have a lightning scar.
But we had something just as powerful:
A burning desire to do good.
A shelf full of Geeta shlokas AND JK Rowling.
And a soul-deep belief that magic is real—you just call it “effort”.
“It is our choices, Harry, that show what we truly are, far more than our abilities.”
– Professor Dumbledore
“Karmanye vadhikaraste, ma phaleshu kadachana…”
– Lord Krishna, Bhagavad Gita 2.47
Same vibe, different robes.
One teaches at Hogwarts. The other on the battlefield of Kurukshetra.
Our First Mission: Earth, Our First Horcrux
No Dark Lord here—just garbage piles and dried lakes.
We saw the planet struggling and whispered:
“Don’t worry, Professor Sprout. We’ve got this.”
“Vriksho rakshati rakshitah.”
(“The tree protects those who protect it.” – Mahabharata)
So we became Herbologists of Hope.
We planted trees.
Cleaned rivers.
Grew gardens.
We didn’t just talk “sustainability”—we gave it a beating heart.
Then Came the Women – The Real Phoenixes
We’ve seen more bravery in Indian women than in all of Gryffindor House.
Women who rise every day, without applause, without help, without fear.
“Yatra naryastu pujyante ramante tatra devataḥ”
(“Where women are worshipped, there the gods dwell.” – Manusmriti)
We built them bridges—of learning, of jobs, of confidence.
And they lit the sky like a Diwali of Dumbledores.
The Youth: Our Army of Future Dumbledores and Desi Hermione Grangers
Let’s be real.
The youth today could slay Voldemort with a meme, a playlist, and a protest poster.
They carry rage, rhythm, reels, and realness.
We give them:
Ancient wisdom.
New tools.
Dirty boots and big dreams.
They give us:
Unstoppable energy.
Ideas no textbook ever taught.
Slam poetry and Sanskrit.
“Na hi jñānena sadṛiśaṁ pavitram iha vidyate.”
(“Nothing is as purifying as knowledge.” – Gita 4.38)
You give Gen-Z a cause, they’ll give you a campaign that slaps, trends, and heals.
Language & Literature: The Forgotten Magic Spells
We’re on a mission to protect the ancient scrolls.
Not the ones in Hogwarts’ library—but our very own.
Because:
“Accio Sanskrit!” won’t work if you don’t speak it. And we ourselves hardly remember the language.
Desi tongues = Desi strength.
Indian literature = India’s soul.
We write, we recite, we revive.
“Sanskriti ke beej, bhasha mein hote hain.”
(“The seeds of culture lie within language.” – Ancient Indian Proverb)
So, Who Are We Really?
We’re not your usual changemakers.
We’re half Hermione, half Hanuman.
We do Seva with sass.
We plan revolutions with highlighters and snacks.
We laugh through breakdowns and build through breakups.
And yes, we still argue about fonts like it’s a duel in the Room of Requirement.
So if you’ve ever:
Dreamt of joining Dumbledore’s Army IRL
Wanted to hug a tree and fix the world
Recited Geeta shlokas while sipping chai and quoting Bellatrix
Felt like the world needs less scrolling and more soul
Then you already belong.
But Here’s the Real Magic… We Weren’t Alone For Long.
As we moved from lakes to learning circles,
from planting trees to planting dreams—
they started finding us.
Like a magnetic pull of purpose—
Artists. Engineers. Writers. Coders. Dancers.
Teachers. Dreamers. Poets. Planters.
All of them, misfits with golden hearts and muddy shoes.
We didn’t recruit them.
We recognised them.
Old souls in young bodies.
People who didn’t need convincing—just a cause.
“Ekameva advitīyam.”
(“That which is One, without a second.” – Chandogya Upanishad)
One cause. Many souls. Infinite strength.
They came from colleges, cities, towns, Instagram DMs and open mics—
And they stayed.
Became family.
Built SRIJAN not just as an idea, but as a heartbeat.
Now?
We’re not two sisters anymore.
We are a growing galaxy of givers,
A constellation of creators.
A force of fun, fire, and ferocious faith.
And we’re still growing.
One chai, one changemaker, one cosmic co-creator at a time.
So if you’re reading this and feeling a tingle in your soul,
That’s your “invitation letter” — no owl required.
Join us.
There’s space in this Hogwarts-for-Heartwork for you too.
Welcome to SRIJAN.
Let’s build. Let’s bloom. Let’s brew some serious magic.
